- 58 cm, 2000ish, Saratoga Co. - made Chris Chance Road bike with segmented fork. Mostly Dura Ace 9-speed build. Ultegra BB and Ultegra 6600 brakes, I bought it new from the Vermont barn. The Deep Cherry Love paint is in excellent condition (no rain riding for this bike) with a few scrapes and many more tiny pin-head-sized blemishes. New SRAM PC951 chain, near new Race Face chainrings (53/39), new Bontager seat (135mm wide), newish SRAM Force cassette (12 - 27). Wheels have Dura Ace hubs, Mavic Open Pro SUP UB rims, DT double-butted spokes, newish Vittoria 700 X 28c tires (still have the nubs). QRs do not appear to be Dura Ace. *
- 1991 Large, grello Yo Eddy with original threaded Yo fork and 1" unthreaded Manitou Mach 5 fork (which I have lubricated monthly for years but still does not move as far as I can tell), a Chris King headset with both blue and silver parts that allows either fork to be mounted without removing the cups from the headset. Synchros post (Al, not Ti), Control Tech stem, titanium 22.2mm handlebars, Suntour self-activating rear brake. I can throw in some bar ends... currently with 9-speed setup - nothing special*
- Separately, some vintage stuff. Titanium BSA BB from 1992, 2 pair of XT 7-speed thumb shifters, a Mountain Tamer Quad, quick release skewers (some w/ 5mm threaded nuts, some Ringle), brand new, never built-up, Deore DX 650 hubset with 32 holes, HEADSET PARTS:** 5 new 1" Shimano HP-650 headset re-build kits (all the parts except those that press into the frame). From the bottom up, each kit has a 1” fork crown race, upper ¼” balls caged bearing, a top bearing race (black, threads onto the fork threads - tightens against the lock nut), 2 hard plastic seals, and a sliver locknut with rubber seal. These came from the Bridgestone out-of-biz sale and were separately bagged with the above parts. Approximately 40 silver, 1” Tange Levin headset lock nuts, 5 black Tange 1" headset lock nuts stamped with white letters “TANGE JAPAN PAT P.”, 3silver locknuts stamped “Hatta VESTA Japan Sealed”, 8 chrome, unmarked
One Shimano XTR 5-bolt 36T chain ring (SG F-36), unknown level of Shimano 4-bolt 42T chainring (stamped WG 2" and SG-42")….
* Yo cranks are vintage XT with 180 mm arms. CC Road bike cranks are Dura Ace with 177.5mm arms.
** How about lumping all the headset stuff together?
