a little noise is one thing. but the words can really not describe how loud the brakes are. loud to the point of people coming out of their houses to find out what is happening.

it is moot point. 3 of the four were actually cracked. quite stunning that i was not injured on some ride. out with the WTB and in with Tri Align

They are suppose to make noise you are only to use them to stop not modulate speed.

I use to set my brakes up as loud as possible the noise said get the f out of my way I am faster.

try newer brakes for cyclecross not low profile but better now. TWP is making an awesome brake as is Forza.

Big tip make sure there is no to much play in the length of the post to the length of the bushing. Try to match the two so there is as little play as possible but still free running.
