Shimmed Seatposts

HI all,

I'm new to the site, been on retrobike for a while, and yesterday I picked up my first Fat, a grello Yo, which i'm over the moon about.

I need to get two things to make it rideable and then I can upgrade as I go; a front mech and seatpost.

Ideally I'd like a nice Syncros post in the right size but these seem to be like the proverbial rocking horse.....

So I'd like to know if anyone is successfully running a shimmed seatpost in a Fat? I'd prefer not to but may have to for a while.

29.4 shouldn't be a problem, but if it's 26.4, I shouldn't imagine there's a ton of sexy 25.8/26.0/26.2 posts out there.

I'm running a shimmed 27.0 post on my Yo and it works fine with no issues.

So yes I'm toying with the idea, but wanted to see if I could find something more retro and shim it. I'm dying to get out and ride it so will probably go this route to get rolling....
