What size bottom bracket on ‘92 Slim Chance?

What’s the bottom bracket width on a ‘92 Slim Chance?
More to the point, I want to put a 2012 Ultegra crank on it, so what bottom bracket do I need?

I believe the shimano bottom bracket will thread right into it

As far as I remember, all the Slims had threaded bottom brackets. Chris never used the press-in BB on the road bikes

Yes, it’s threaded, but is the shell size 68 or 73? I don’t have it in front of me to measure- it’s on its way to me.

If it was something other than 68mm I think I-robot would have warned you.

My recommendation is shimano. The dura ace bb will roll a bit smoother, but with a shoter service life than the similarly priced ultegra.

My plan is to strip the ULTEGRA 6700 groupo off my other road bike and put it on the Slim Chance. It uses the SM-BBR60 Bottom Bracket. Pretty sure it’ll all xfer ok.
