Gonna build a bike path cruiser for summer rides with the wife... moustache drops, Brooks saddle, City Slickers, maybe a single speeder. Not sure really. Some kind of retro racer with a current flair to it. I dig the colors, though. This is gonna be a sick bike.

Originally it was just the frame, fork and headset that I bought, but for a little extra cash (a lot less than I thought) I got the rest of the bike, too. Thanks for that find, Jim. This one is a gem.
Here's the complete build:
wheels :
- MAVIC X517 SUP rims
- butted stainless spokes
- NUKE PROOF atom bomb carbon hubs
- new SCHWINN quick release skewers
- PANARACER 1.8" Trail Blaster kevlar tires (good narrow mtb offroad (and onroad) tires)
- single speed conversion rear cassette (read bottom)
- SUGINO 175mm cranks
- SHIMANO 46/36/26 110/74 bcd rings - near perfect cond.
- original bottom bracket spindle
- new sealed cartridge bearings, press fit
- new hardened steel bb colars (much better than stock)
- SUNTOUR cro-mo bb bolts
- new SRAM chain
- 26.4 TCO (tall cool one) seatpost
- new brooks saddle
- new WOODMANS seatpost clamp
- NOS quill stem w/ brass roller
- NOS chromed steel riser bars
- ELECTRA brown stitched "leather" grips
- SHIMANO slr cantilever levers and calipers
- NOS SHIMANO deore dx 1" threaded headset
- paul melvin chain tensioner
Kid in a candy store kinda day for me... gonna have to save up a few more pennies and sell some more crap to get that Yo from Noah, too.

Crypes, even if it is a crome-moly rail version, it's still a $200 saddle. :redface: :redface: :redface: Too bad it's not a brown or a honey version.

With copper rivets I have no clue to think the rail is not titanium. First there was a little sticker on it, saying 'Titanium'. Second: The rail is left unpainted, showing Cool multicolour areas where the material is welded, bended. Third: I never knew there were non-ti Swifts New?
A LBS around here sold them 4 yrs ago new in box for 50 euro each... Did take only one

Yeah Melvin, I think there are both Cro-Mo and Ti Swifts, but everything I have found on them, they look identical. I guess I won't know for sure until I get the bike and see the saddle in person. The Cro-Mo versions sell for 'bout $175 new and the Ti for well over $300. Crazy.
What do you guys think about drop bars? With the current flavor parts on this bike, something like an On-One Mary or Midge might be kinda cool.

That is right on the money!!!!What is a on-one mary bar? Isn't that something like a Luv Handles, but inferior and less Cool?

Every non-Ti Swift I've seen has bright chrome rails and those look pretty dull - ie: ti to me.
Anyway - nice score. A cool older bike for hacking and a Yo in what, 48hrs? If only I could hack a few inches off these arms and legs...
Hehehe, do they come in brown, and how long is the wait?
I'm thinking that I'll see how the position is on this thing and then maybe try some type of dirt drops in the future. Always wanted to try them out on a MTB frame.
