Hello James

Most likely your frame is a 1994 model which was built in Somerville but possibly could have been finished in NY depending on when it was sold. There were many frames in various states of completion when the Somerville doors closed in October that year. If there is a Made in Massachusetts flag decal on the bottom of the seat tube then it was completed and shipped from Somerville. If there is an NY decal, then it was finished and sold from South Glens Falls.

Hindsight always being 20/20, I wish I kept better records of the frames and other things that I personally worked on - but who knew, right?

Then there's that smoky shop thing that seems to "cloud" my memory at times...

Lovely buck...

I made a comment about the paint on another buck recently, and darned if they arn't very similar...

I have a team yo in that color and it is slightly darker. Nice bike, I hope you post pix after you build it. I guess each frame is custom to a degree - as far as color.

Hey all, new to this forum & loving the trip down memory lane!Got into MTBing in 88, bought a splatter Mt. Fuji in 89 & dreamed of the best ride in town until 1991, when I finally got my trusty old iron horse. The original suspension bike - those rear chainstays flexed! Rode her hard until 1999 when the Moots YYBeat took her place on the trails. A local buddy of mine from the old days has gone roadie but still has his Yo! on the wall, I'll try to get a photo of his rig too.
