*The story goes something like this: the original owner was a bike dealer who purchased the frame from Fat City as an unpainted frame. He sent it to Cycle Art to have a custom job done and put the build together himself.

Hi Amey - Thanks, yes, it is a nice Buck. I wondered whether to post this picture though ... I'm embarrased about the steerer tube; the photo was taken while I was experimenting with handlebar height!

It is unique. Even details like the tubes for the chain- and seatstays are split evenly, with silver on one side, charcoal on the other. I grew up in MA, and went to college with a part-time employee, when they were still in Somerville. He bought one of the first Ti frames that Gary Helfrich built, and we often rode together in the Pioneer Valley. His steel Fat is what spurred me to buy mine.
